Last time, KC got betrayed. Mira had no intention of ending her manhwa at all. Is there any other way of ending it if she does not want to? Let’s find out

    Episode 41 Commentary

#5 Wangshin is becoming a pain in the arse. He is more often used to scold KC. I wish we get to see some action from him again.

#10 the spider is scary, something that’s hair-raising. Renbo disappeared, so where to now?

#11 oh fuck! The spider got into the real world!

I’m now in C#24. "Real World".

The mind of the Narrator looks trouble, and its shape is similar to that of what appeared in the zombies.

    C#3 recall:

‘I'd rather they not be seen in this house in the manhwa. Do you want them to suffer the same fate as Mr. Ladybug?’

I completely forgot what happened to Mr Lady bug. Renbo has been stubborn to executing KC’s suggestions. She was more compliant a bit earlier, and I do hope she’ll do the same.

    C#6. "Real World".

KC ‘Is it to deceive the Narrator, because our plan has failed? A substitute plan she can't reveal? Or... (tortured) she's really betrayed and doesn't want to end the manhwa?’

I would like to know as well.

C#6. "Crossover" - Luxury Apartment (day).

(GUM-GUM-GUM! deletes Yoon-Hee's drone on her tablet)

Our manhwa illustrators are at a disadvantage against Mira.

C#16. "Real World". - Protect the amphitheater!!! If the government falls, it's the end of the "Butterfly Girl" universe, and Ren-Bo will be annihilated.

This is a good line. So much is happening at this point that I am starting to get lost. This one helps the reader get anchored back to the narrative.

    C#35. "Real World".

‘A tiny feeling is reborn in Kang Chul, a distant vestige of what Yeon-Joo was to him. At least out of compassion, he puts his hand on her shoulder to comfort her.’

If what you said earlier about KC being so into Mira, these lines feel like a cope. It feels out of place.

C#64. "Real World". Death of the PM.

Looks like whatever Mira is doing Is supposed to benefit Renbo contrary to what KC and the viewers though. This is a plot twist.

    #18 Metempsychosis

Interestingly, I only learned this word several months ago, even though I’ve known the concept my whole life, i.e. the transmigration of souls.

#19 oh fucked. Good thing nobody would cancel you for hurting a baby.

    Conclusion:

It ends on a nice cliffhanger. We don’t know what happened to KC and others, but at least this episode had a favourable outcome.

Hi. Your comment is shorter and I guess it was hard to get out of the action. Rather good news. This episode is one of my favorites because of the fast pace, the tension and the fresh visuals.

        #5.

Wang Shin was seriously a pain in the ass during episode 39, and here too. Although he's right! Already, he's doing something, he's crushing the spider! ahah! In my first draft, it was Do-Yoon. But there were too many people in the room, so I sent people to do something else. Do-Yoon in W, which is perfect because it lacked a bit of preparation for what he's doing there. And Wang Shin in the bedroom to take care of Chul-Moo.

        #10.

One of my favorite scenes of the whole drama, coming from far away. As soon as I had the idea of Ren-Bo, a girl with butterfly wings, I immediately had various ideas of what could happen to her. And soon, of course: trapped in a web, about to be devoured by a giant spider. However, the idea remained in a file of miscellaneous ideas because there was no way to use it in the story. Until I redid the outline with Mi-Ra and the moment of betrayal. It was the perfect moment, and I could use the Queen of Darkness's power to grow monstrous animals for it. As it's a power we could have forgotten (episode 1, a big wolf), I put in a comedy scene in episode 33, where Mi-Ra grows a rat to chase away the two manhwa-loving schoolgirls.

        #11.

It would have been too easy if Ren-Bo just escaped the spider by teleporting out of the manhwa and it ends here. But also, I like this moment of pure madness. A giant spider in Oh Sung-Moo's house!!!

        C#24.

The Narrator is abstract, so his form is strange and symbolic. Must have an anti-natural feel. The idea of the rhombus came easily because the eyes in the drawing I'd chosen for his face already had diamond-shaped eyes. I then researched the symbolism of the rhombus. It can mean many things: fertility, cycle, sharing, exchange. But what matched with the drama is this: the horizontal axis represents the manifested world (reality) and the vertical axis immanence (spirit). So it's a stroke of luck that it fits the Narrator, for he is a spirit and his narrative frames alter a reality.

        C#3.

Mr. Ladybug is killed by the Narrator in episode 27. Crushed by a 10-ton weight! Alas, slow publication causes you to forget past events. Here, Kang Chul's explanation resolves what could be considered a plot-hole: why Ren-Bo's friends remained in the manhwa. He had taken care to hide them, so that the manhwa wouldn't publish images with them in their new home. But for some reasons, it failed.

        C#6

Concerning Mi-Ra's current motivations, of course I can't reveal anything because it's a spoiler. ;-)

        C#16. Protect the amphitheater!!!

I wasn't sure if we understood the situation, why the killers and rebels were infiltrating the national assembly, and why this was causing Ren-Bo to disappear. So, here this direct line to make it all clear in a strong way.

        C#35.

Well, that doesn't mean he's in love again with Yeon-Joo. Just a little empathy. Maybe I should rework the line?

        C#64. Death of the PM.

Earlier we see Mi-Ra suffering from the situation. Which is at odds with the fact that she's causing them serious problems. But only we, the audience, can see that she's relieved when things work out in the end. We know more than Kang Chul and his friends. I didn't realize it was a plot-twist, because I was distillating this slowly during the moments she appears. But yes, it's one!

        #18. Metempsychosis.

I don't have time to explain more in this episode (and neither does Kang Chul), hence the use of a somewhat mysterious shock word.

        #19.

Maybe I should say the baby doesn't fall from too high. Ouch! It would be impossible to film the scene with a real baby. Soo-Bong checks on him, and he's fine! That's Kang Chul's son, he's made of steel!

        Conclusion.

Well, Ren-Bo escaped death twice. And Wang Shin once.
